I installed this along with the IRL valve controller to a completely stock G87 exhaust and the exhaust note produced as a result has absolutely exceeded expectations. I bought this piece because I wanted to cut my stock exhaust in as few pieces as possible (the other midpipes only go up to the secondary cats). Fitment was perfect, installation was easy, once the cuts were made at the middle dimple. The sound is exactly what I wanted...a little louder at more throttle and valves open, but quiet and no drone at comfort settings.
